Review: These were exactly what I needed! - I'm 4 foot 9 inches tall. I have always had to pull the seat forward as far as it will go and when airbags became standard, I began to worry about my being too close. Then I got a new car and I never felt comfortable driving it because I couldn't see across the hood. I thought it was a height thing but then I realized it was my seating position. Contrary to how it sounds but I was too close to the steering wheel and my entire seating position was simply awkward and it affected my ability to drive the car. I purchased these pedal extenders and I was worried whether they'd fit my car but they did fit with a couple minor modifications and I'll detail what I had to do. First, as long as you're capable of using a wrench and are ok with crawling under the steering wheel, you can install these pedal extenders. Because of the tools and some mechanical capability that is needed, there is a moderate to low level of a challenge required. Next, once I had decided the distance I needed (about 5 inches given that is about the max the accelerator extender allows) I set to install the extenders. Because of how the pedals are configured on my car, I needed to install the brake extender upside down. It still worked but I had to figure that out. The accelerator extender went on as described however, I had to reverse the screws that lock onto the back of the pedal. I used the threaded part of the screw to give it extra holding power as the plug ends didn't grab enough. Once I made these two modifications, the pedals worked perfectly and now I am able to sit back away from the steering wheel just as anyone else who is over 5' 5" would. I have never had more visibility as I can now see out the front side and back side windows. The back side windows were always too far behind me to turn around that far to easily see out of them. I also feel like I can use my arms to better control the steering wheel and hence, better control the car. It is also easier to get into and out of the car because I'm not squeezing myself in between the seat and the steering wheel. These extenders have changed my driving life! I'm so glad such things are now available on desertcart to order over the Web! When I looked into getting them years ago, they were only available through customizers and they were much more expensive and some altered the car. (Had to be screwed in or replaced the pedals) Since I could install these myself, I will be taking these with me and putting them into every car I own in the future!
Review: No longer kissing the steering wheel - My husband got my first set years ago and they are still holding strong. This set is for a different vehicle. The added inches allows the seat to be moved back far enough away it’s easier to get in and out of the driver’s seat, puts space in between the driver and the steering wheel, so it’s not rubbing a black line into your tummy, and gives you needed space away from the direct impact of a deployed airbag, should you have the misfortune of having one go off. These pedal extensions are great! I highly recommend them and the manufacturer. I suggest using a socket wrench and pliers when installing so you can tightly secure the attachments with leverage. There’s also peace of mind knowing they are not going to unexpectedly come loose. Please note, mine have never come off unintentionally. They are however removed easily enough, if so desired.

**Q: Will this work for my 2006 buick lacrosse**
A: Hi, thanks for your message.  Yes, the extenders should be a good fit for the 2006 Buick Lacrosse.  However, please confirm your vehicle does not have a gas pedal that hinges from and connects to the floor of your vehicle, if it does, these extenders will not work. Thanks!

**Q: Will these work on a 2018 Toyota Highlander?**
A: They are very universal and can install on a wide variety of vehicles. The throttle pedal is adjustable to fit almost anything, but the brake pedal, by design, doesn't work well with thick brake pedals. Measure your brake pedal; if it is over 1" thick at the bottom(towards the floor), the lip on the bottom of the mounting bracket may not fit over the pedal for a secure fit.

**Q: Does these work for all vehicles?**
A: They are a good fit for most vehicles, as long as the gas pedal does NOT hinge from or connect to the floor of the vehicle.  It should connect via a rod at the back or top of the gas pedal.  Thanks!

The peddles are great for helping me reach the gas. They weren't as easy to install as advertised. I still would highly recommend the peddles for someone with the need.
