More like 6ft square. Not meters. **Q: Good morning,my question is can this item be cut?And can they be laid on top of slabs?** A: Hi Mike, you could cut them with a jigsaw if needed or each individual piece of wood can be roved by attacking the plastic connectors with a sharp pair of scissors. I settled for the later option and they fit on my concrete patio very well indeed. It's worth buying a few extra so you can fiddle with it a bit. I laid mine on concrete but you could lay them on slabs if you wanted, although if the slabs aren't even the tiles won't be either and they will move around if not wedged in.
