Review: Great idea all around and features but difficult to use - Being able to mount virtual drives, iso's and the security features are awesome. The interface is difficult to navigate until you memorize what everything does. The admin program and VHD program for it doesn't seem to work under Windows 11 just throws errors when you try to talk to it. I have not tried it on older systems yet. The documentation is... decent. I really hope they come out with better software/firmware to simplify things a bit and make a real winner that lives up to all the potential this has.
Review: This is good when you have a variety of ISOs big or small for a technician. I used to install Windows Server, Linux. Can also boot live ISOs whether in BIOS or in UEFI, tested it. Also supports large ISO files the biggest one I chucked was just over 64GB in size. Not sure officially the max file size limitation. From what I read from the Manual it seems that for a 2TB SSD there is no limit. But I could be wrong.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can someone please run a crystaldiskmark and post the result please?**
A: Additionally for Developer/IT/Tech Savvy perspective:

I would measure IODD Mini's internal ISO emulation performance against real CD/DVD mechanical drive (assuming that I still has a reliable one laying around), it shows from my test results that the IODD Mini's internal ISO mounted volume is equivalent to (at minimum) 90x read performance vs real mechanical DVD/CD read performance (which is commonly rated as 4x 8x 16x 24x +/- the actual quality of actual DVD/CD media inserted), installing VM Server 2003 fresh setup & install start to finish barely took 6 minutes (assuming good hardware/spec system).

**Q: Hi, could i replace original ssd to a 2to ssd (sata m2b+m key). i understood for warranty will be void but it is physically possible?**
A: Yes you can, but the SSD Max power consumption may be lower than 2W.
Internal interface: M.2 NGFF 42mm
all warranties are invalidated (IODD MINI body and m.2 ssd)
thanks!

**Q: Will you release an nvme-based, usb type-c, 10gbps version?**
A: t will be some time before chipsets are cheap enough and good enough for all 3 of those features. Intel is still having trouble with PCIe 4.0 and only AMD has chipsets to handle the new generation of NVMe speeds that came with it. Newer, faster stuff is always coming out so you get the best you can at the time you need it and worry about the next gen later. As for the IODD Mini, I wish they had designed it to hold an M.2 2280 instead of the shorter M.2 2242 SSD's it holds, but other than that it's great. Sometime in the future another generation will be much faster and I will probably buy one of those when it's out. I've worn out older IODD devices and this is my 4th. The 2nd(2531) vanished and 3rd(another 2531) is still running but the Mini is so much better that I don't use it much anymore. You can buy a USB 3.0 to USB C cable or just an adapter and use it in a USB-C port. It's not as fast as the fastest USB-C devices you can buy but it's the fastest you can mount ISO's and/or VHD's and get use out of. It's so easy that I don't have to carry a bunch of USB drives and can get away with it and a single USB drive(in case I need to do something special like make a bootable USB but can't do it as a VHD or ISO. Once you have one and get all your stuff setup on it, you will wonder how you got anything done without it. I would love to see a faster one(or even larger capacity than 1Tb) but I don't think they would sell a bunch if it had to carry a $1000 price tag. They will come out with a new version when the numbers make sense as they need to actually sell them to stay in business. They tried to bring a version of the Mini to market several years ago but had to wait for the parts to get cheap enough that they could sell them to more than a couple people with deep pockets. There was little buyer interest when the price was much higher so don't expect a 10Gbps version until you see PCIe 4.0 NVMe showing up in more than just AMD motherboards. It may be an even longer wait as it still has to make sense to produce them at a price they will sell in decent volume.

**Q: When will Russia shipping be available?**
A: This is item will be sold world wide in Amazon global selling after November.
