## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is diameter of the hole needed?**
A: The hole needs to be about 4 3/4 inches to mount.

**Q: What keeps water or rain from entering your interior?**
A: There is a rubber seal bike gasket that goes around the outside of the ventilator. When you tighten down the screws it creates a seal. If you wanted to you could put some silicone on this gasket for peace of mind. I did not use silicone and I've had no leaks.

**Q: Does this blow air out of the building, like a shed?**
A: Yes I put two in our 10x12 tin shed and it sets in sun almost all the time and it pulls air out to help moderate the temp.

**Q: Will this work in a small walk-in closet or pantry? Or underground seller?**
A: As long as the sun is shining on the small panels it working. I’ve installed two in the roof of our RV & they seem to keep the moisture out

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Definitely worth it in my eyes.
*by K***H on April 4, 2022*

Used this to replace my RV attic roof vent. Being in Texas, heat builds up quickly and AC has a hard time keeping my 40' rig cool. Figured this would help draw out the trapped heat in the attic/roof portion and may help my AC be more efficient.Unfortunately, this is not a direct size replacement for a standard RV attic vent. Had to make the existing hole wider for the fan portion to fit down. And then seal around the edges. We've had a few warm days (mid 80s), and it seems this fan does helps. So far been able to keep the inside cooler than the outside temperature without having to turn on my AC. I expect my AC should be more effective come the summer. ... thinking about maybe relocating the original attic vent to the rear of the RV to help create a better flow. ... I'll just have to remember to cover the solar panels come the winter months lol.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Looks good but not powerful.
*by M***I on May 29, 2021*

Super quiet can't tell it's running but not very powerful. I use it at my barn shed and it does pull heat out of a 6x8ft shed but not enough. I may need to get another to pull out the heat better. It looks nice though from the outside.

### ⭐ No. NO. NO!
*by P***M on August 23, 2022*

First of all, the vent is not I repeat NOT, exactly weather tight. The substantial clear plastic protector over the solar panel is just snapped into place into the stainless steel cover. Secondly, of the two I bought one of them had the fan just laying in the box and not on the motor shaft where it should have been. On both units, the rechargeable batteries had both broken loose from the little bit of silicone sealer/glue they used to stick it to the plastic housing underneath.Mounting was fairly straightforward you need to use a four and three quarter inch hole saw or otherwise cut a 4 and 3/4 in hole through the spot where you are mounting it. Then Mark the three mounting holes and then fasten it to your mounting location. Now, for the operation..... When sunlight strikes squarely on the solar panels and the switches in the on position the fans do spool up and it would be unfair to say that they don't move any air at all. They do move air but not enough to be of value for anything that I can even imagine. And again, I am using two of them. My intent was to use them to remove the hottest air from the top of an enclosed trailer. I mounted some inlet vents down low on the opposite side of the trailer hoping to pull some cross flow air through the trailer. This trailer is 12 ft long by 7 ft wide by 6 and 1/2 ft tall. These fans had zero effect other than now having two four and three quarter inch holes cut through the roof! Just say no! Whatever it is you think you're going to do with these the answer is no!!!
