The reason for the photochromic is that when hiking, i feel it necessary to wear eye protection all the time, as I've had sharp limbs poke my eyes. My normal sunglasses are too dark for shady trails as my eyes age. This way i can hike in and out of shade easily. They do need to be adjusted to your face, but the frame seems to be flexible and sturdy enough. Not the most comfortable, but I'm still tweaking. The most disappointing part is that that the lens retains fingerprints and has a bit of a haze after cleaning, and I'm concerned about microscratches deteriorating the quality over time. For the price, though i suppose i should not complain too much. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality *by P***M on June 11, 2023* Bought these for commuting by bicycle to and from work. They need to be effective windshields, as my daily ride has some fast downhills. Really nice solid frames and good eye protection from sunlight and wind. Bear in mind that they are not totally clear when out of uv light, as the polarization blocks some of the visible light even when the photochromatic lens is at its clearest.
