That is important to me since babies have such delicate skin. I love that they are lightweight. This kind of blanket was a must-have for my babies. They can be used for so many different things, not just swaddling- nursing cover, burp rag, carseat cover, etc. I was also excited to see the nursing pads that came with this pack, since my sister in law is planning to nurse. They wash well and now I have purchased a second set and had them each cut into four sections and hemmed so now she has four small easy handheld blankets (per each large blanket) for in the car or when she gets cranky at a store.
