And then starts the love trio .Because love triangles are not only made obvious, but suddenly you’ll find many people around you, who you thought wouldn’t care, seem to think it’s part of their business to have opinions about this triangle and what you should do. I mean this is the author's debut novel! And I've read and reviewed quite a lot of debut books, but this one was truly amazing, really. The language used is so lucid and simple, and the story flows through very very smoothly...kudos to the author for that.🌸 . Plot: 'Just Missed' revolves around three main characters, Siddharth, Shreya and Shivam. Now by just looking at the cover and the title, one can easily guess that the story is gonna be about a love triangle. So let me tell you about the plot a little, Siddharth is a very ambitious guy whose main focus in life is only his career. But now that he's well settled his family wants him to get married. They somehow even convince him to at least meet with a few girls they choose. And thus begins the quest for finding the perfect match for Siddharth by his family through a matrimonial site. Shivam meets Shreya, she's a very smart, bold and beautiful girl and soon Siddharth develops a kind of an infatuation towards her slowly. Everything was going well until on a Bangkok trip, Shreya meets Shivam. Shivam is a flirt and exactly the kind of guy Shreya despises. But there's something more to the story.There's a whole different side to Shivam that he's hiding, so what's gonna happen next?Who's gonna end up with whom?The choice of title is so very apt I'd say 😅. As the story only revolves around these three characters, you easily form a bond with them. Also, what I loved while reading it is the way the writing is full of Indian cultures and traditions in typical middle class set-up. This is a typical bollywood romance story without any plot twists and stuffs. Is it full of cliche tropes? Yes. Did I enjoy reading it nevertheless? Also, yes. I mean, sometimes you just need your chai in one hand and a simple sweet story in another, in your lazy Sunday mornings, right?
