Both internal and external handles have screw holes in them and with the handles you get two screws and two screw receivers. You put the receives in the handle you want to be the outside handle then screw it together from the inside handle. This flexibility means that depending which handle you put the screw receivers in, it changes it's handedness to either left or right hand to suit all doors.
