After this bottle arrived, I rinsed it thoroughly several times with scalding hot water, let it soak, then finished with a cold rinse before filling it with fresh reverse-osmosis water and ice. It keeps water cold for an impressively long time; even the next day, most of the original ice is still there. The built-in straw is super convenient, and I love that I can drink without that annoying glugging sound.
