The screen surface is perfectly flat with a gain of 1.1 and is ideal for a dedicated cinema room. Ideal screen surface The screen surface is kept perfectly flat by the use of tensioning rods which fit around the edges of the screen. These rods then fit into the frame to ensure the surface is kept uniformly flat. The screen surface has tiny 'pits' embedded within it which helps to minimise the amount of stray light which can bounce off the screen and back into the room which can adversely effect picture quality. This helps to achieve the bright and high contrast images that today's modern projectors are capable of delivering.
