However I have a white one which I just use for tea or tisanes. I wouldn’t think you could use it for coffee beans. **Q: Can this be used on gas stove?** A: This is a teapot. You can get enamel kettles that go on the stove top, they are a slightly different shape and have the handle on the top. **Q: I'm a bit confused about the sizing. Is the maximum capacity of this teapot 1 litre or 1.5 litres please?** A: Just measured it. The one I purchased does hold a litre of water but that is the absolute maximum capacity with no space for teabags and I would say quite dangerous to fill a teapot to the brim with boiling water. Not a problem for me as it is only used for one person, I use real tea and it does fit perfectly underneath the spout of my one cup water heater.
