She has early onset of Alzheimer’s dementia and now has difficulty with the sequence of getting to bed, especially with the weight gain she’s experienced over the last 5 years. When she finally gets into bed, her legs and sometimes her derrière are right on the mattress’ edge. She does not like when I try to lift her legs or push her rear end further into bed. A former nurse recommended a repositioning pad so I found this one with very good reviews on Amazon. It’s slick so it slides well over the bedsheet. So far, the handles have held up very well when I pull her 8 inches to 10 inches away from the edge.
