This means that the charger doesn’t have to be plugged directly into a wall socket, giving much more flexibility in device positioning and not being tied down to having a laptop etc. no more than 1m away from the charger. The HYK has three outputs – C1 - for use with heavy current devices, such as a laptop, and has a 1.7m built-in cable. C2 – for use with medium current devices USB-A – for use with other devices All outputs can be used to fast charge a phone, tablet etc. The pictures on the page show cable lengths, but I’m not sure what they refer to. The actual length of the two cables are as shown above. A minor niggle is that the HYK doesn’t have an ‘on’ indicator I’ve used HKY to charge a phone and a tablet at the same time and both charged at their maximum rate. I also tested the USB-A socket with a 12w load for 50 minutes with no problems. I’ve not been able to test the HKY to its fullest, as I don’t have a USBC connection laptop. However, given the quality feel of the charger, I’ve no reason to think that it will not perform as it should do under higher loads. The HKY also comes with a compact zip-up bag that will hold all the components, although it is a bit of a squeeze getting them all in. Unless going abroad where different adaptors are needed, if the ‘foreign’ adapters are left out of the bag, then there will be no problem. The bag is thin and nothing special, so don’t try and force the zip closed if the bag is over full. The HKY has a feeling of quality about it, so should hopefully be problem free. It has a 3-year guarantee, and the accompanying instructions lists two UK representatives, so presumably they would be able to deal with any problems.
