Soft and comes with other things as well and little tiny syringe to "give the dog medicine" a tiny bottle & a few other things it does comes in a carrier that you can put all the items and puppy in to carry around or take on the go. (Ours doesn't stay shut very well but still cute). Does not come with batteries so you WILL need 3 AAA batteries for it.
