She's into anime and manga and a lot of those characters wear these. I wasn't sure what size to order because it's hard to tell if this is sized for teens or women's fit. I ordered an XL and I could fit in it as a woman who wears a size 14 or 16 pants. It did come very wrinkled, but I was quite happy with how easy it was to iron and it looked good after I ironed it. I like the pockets and the shorts underneath. Not only that, but they're perfectly hidden within the side seams and of decent size to actually be useful. Skirt fit true to the size chart and is comfortable and seems to be well made for the price and the pleats are well defined. I really like the elastic in the back. The attached shorts are a nice touch and made of a soft, silky feeling material. My only issue is I'm short (5'3") and the high waisted style fits really high on me, but that's not an uncommon fit "issue" for me because of my short torso. I still like the skirt.
