This time I zeroed in on the most important feature: lots of really cold ice and water with interchangeable lids. And, once again, the Goldilocks problem: some too expensive for someone who already has a major investment in bottles, some too small, some needing separate purchase of a lid with a straw, some only in boring black, some with HUGE brand decals, etc. Finally exhausted with the considering, comparing, rejecting, I picked this one (in orange, no less). I ordered it on a Wednesday, and it arrived on Friday as promised. Packaging was absolute perfection: a tall, rectangular, heavy cardboard box (nestled in shipping pillows) with an alternate lid in a small box at top and bottom with the bottle and the third lid in the middle. I had planned to equip it with the straw lid but found, like many straw lids, the tiny hole to allow air in while sucking liquid out is very tiny. I used several increasingly large needles to enlarge the hole, and it still seemed to take more "drawing" effort than I wanted, remembering those upper lip folds. Since I plan to use this jug only at home (huge jug plus filled to capacity with ice & water = way too heavy to be readily portable for me), I switched to the flip top lid, and that's working just fine. Learning curve: I usually stuff the jug with ice then add water. Since this bottle insulates so well, that means little water to drink. I've quickly learned that 1/4 to 1/3 full of ice is more than enough to create a cold base that supports refilled water throughout the day. It's still early days with this bottle, but the bright orange color makes me smile and I'm drinking and enjoying the icy-cold water instead of giving lukewarm leftover water to my plants. The bottle is also well balanced and not "tippable" so that it's safe from my big dogs playing near me when I put it on the floor while watching TV. So, did I need another drink bottle? It also fits nicely into a water container holder that I have on my Harley that was originally for a bicycle-style water bottle. I usually use the straw lid, and it works just fine and have not had any leaks yet. Also, I did see some other reviewers mention that they get air with liquid when sucking, but I have not found that to be the case with mine - I only get liquid.With the choice of having the straw lid or flip lid, it makes for an excellent value when I purchased this at under $13.
