No matter how many different loads you are connecting to the positive your Batteries monitor shunt should connect to the negative cable. So, you disconnect the negative cable from the battery and inserts in series the shunt, then the portion negative cable to ground will be be connected from the second post point of the shunt( - load). What you read on this device will not match any display on your controller. This will seem confusing. It is tracking your batteries, where your controller is tracking a mix of solar in, loads out, battery in, and battery out. Take the time to understand the nuances, and trust this tool.
