I looked at videos on how to arrange faux greenery. My concern was sand and rocks would retain water. I did not want the planters to retain water. So I took a small plant supporter, turned it upside down, added bricks (without covering the drain hole) for weight. The three wire supports now can secure the faux shrub. It is oversized so I did not need to add anything around it. Now the rain water and snow can drain right through the ball and planter.
