I did have to put a bit of cloth on the back of the knee when I ran as the Velcro rubbed my leg. but it was ok when walking. this helped me through my injury and I am ok now. I have very big thighs** A: Cannot state the exact dimensions. The outer staps will wrap around any size but the under parts have to fasten first. So I just about managed to apply it to my medium sized knee. I therefore do not expect it to fit ''a very large knee''. Is this the brace for me?** A: I found this support to be comfortable and effective for general walking around, and have used it for cycling precisely because it is light and flexible. However, I do not know if it will provide enough structural support for something as strenuous as skiing, I have used more heavy-duty weight-lifting supports in the past which might be more suitable. **Q: Does this brace open fully or do you have to pull it on the leg firt and then fasten straps** A: It fully opens and overlaps depending on knee size and fastens with Velcro which can be as tight as you need it. **Q: Would this fit big thighs?** A: No I'm a female and just received it 2 days ago. Just note that this is not one of the elasticated type, apart from the straps. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Aid for when my knee really needed it *by J***T on 29 January 2019* I recently twisted my knee and have been experiencing joint pain and some weakness. Having already had existing knee issues, I felt I wanted to look for a product to offer slightly more support that my usual tubular bandage, as I needed to return to work, where I am on the move a great deal, pushing wheelchairs and engaging in active pursuits. I was concerned about the sizing when ordering this item, as I do have larger thighs (am a size 16 female) and my measurement in this area was above those suggested on the size chart. I needed something asap though and couldn't find anything that seemed to suit my needs more. I was pleasantly surprised when this arrived. It has elastic around the middle and thick velcro tabs forming the top and bottom, meaning it is easily adjustable. It doesn't feel restrictive when on and is comfortable, without any chafing or other such negative points. It fits me perfectly, despite my initial concerns. This product, of course, doesn't eliminate knee issues, but does enable the joint to be supported. I have found that after a fair amount of exertion in a day, I do still really struggle come the evening, and so this product does only help to a certain extent. It is ideal for people engaging in a sporting activity- it has been great for gym classes and meant I could go back sooner than I would have otherwise. I got this as it came up as during my search as something good for swimming, which I needed it for, for work. As such I thought it may be waterproof in some way. Unfortunately it did mean that it would be good during the activity, but would take a fair amount of time to dry and so couldn't be worn afterwards. I'm pleased with how this had helped and with the sizing.
