Review: Good dupe for Mason Pearson brush - I have an old Mason Pearson brush that I wanted to replace with something newer, but at a lower price point. This Misel brush was a really solid choice. The bristles are stiff enough to brush through my thick hair and work out knots without pulling or snapping the hairs. I highly recommend this brush.

**Q: Should I wash my Misel brush ir just use the brush cleaning tool?**
A: Hello Donna,

Thank you for a great question. The best way to clean your MIŠEL hairbrush is with MIŠEL brush cleaner. This will help you remove excess hair, dust and lint. Once the brush is free of hair you can then wash it with warm water to remove any impurities and dust. The airhole will allow you to remove any excess water from the brush by gently squeezing the red cushion. Once clean, place your hairbrush bristles facing down on a towel and let air dry. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Thank you for a great question. We do not recommend exposing the nylon boar bristles to high temperatures because they might bent and melt.

**Q: I need a pocket sized version. Do you have a similar brush that measures 6 or 7 inches long?**
A: Hello, the travel size brush has 7,1 inches :-)

**Q: How do you clean out the dust that accumulates in the boar bristles?**
A: Use 2 cleaning brushes.  The first is a metal bristle comb brush to get most of the out.  Misel makes an excellent one. The second is a Madon Person cleaning brush to get the dust and dead skin out.  I suggest avoid washing your brush.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I do like the brush!

I bought this for my nine year old granddaughter who loves and begs to use my Mason Pearson. I tried the Misel brush and it seems nice and detangles my thin long hair that goes to the the bottom of my back and left my hair very smooth. Her hair is shoulder length and thick and curly/wavy so I'm hoping it does as good of a job on her hair as well. However, it is a Christmas gift and we won't know until then! From my own experience I would say it's nice for the cost - especially for the cost! The body of the brush seems a good quality, it has a smooth and glossy look/feel, and comfortable to hold. However, it is a bit smaller than I expected, not quite as large as my Mason Pearson, which I am accustomed to. The bristles seem good and sturdy and the rubber pad seems stiff. I was worried that it might be too stiff but after I tried it I realized that it was indeed comfortable on the scalp. The nylon bristles do not have the ball tips and one might think that they feel scratchy but they actually don't scratch. That's something I realized with my Mason Pearson when I first got it. I had been used to ball tip type brushes but the problem with those is that the tips come off after awhile and those do scratch and then hairs get stuck in them and break your hair. So I do think that I will be pleased with the brush's performance and am hoping it lasts. One of my main influences with this purchase is that IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA! My second reason is the nylon/ boar bristles, and the smooth finish on the body. I read some reviews of how people are cleaning these type brushes. Personally I don't think you should be using water and soap. The rubber will dry out and ruin the brush. It needs to be cleaned using the cleaning brush for the Misel and more like a dry cleaning. My advice would be to follow instructions for the Mason Pearson on how to clean the hairbrush as there's some really BAD advice out there!!!
