**Q: Will this fit a thick visor on a Toyota RAV4?**
A: The metal clip is fairly strong - it would likely have to be forced (bent) to fit a thick visor - think it would eventually 'dent' said visor material.   Probably better available options for your application.

What a great sunglasses holder for visor. Went right onto visor without any issues. It is a good weight and sturdy. Has a magnet closure. Easy to use and size and price were great! Would buy again!
