Review: Great set, lots of variety and unique pieces - Although I am not a particular fan of Lego Friends, this set - and particularly the range of animals - appealed to me. I am halfway through opening it. It is a little flimsier than previous Lego calendars due to reducing waste, but perfectly adequate. Although I am not a particular fan of Lego Friends, this set - and particularly the range of animals - appealed to me. I am halfway through opening it. It is a little flimsier than previous Lego calendars due to reducing waste, but perfectly adequate. The instructions aren't always the clearest, but given the limited pieces, it is easy enough to work out. So far, it has been a good mix of builds across consecutive days (eg animal one day, scene the next) and quite a good number of pieces. There are a lot of unique reprints of existing pieces so it feels good value and should appeal to a wide audience, child and adult.
