I'll never go back to sponges as long as these exist. They're made out of a polyester blend and are solid. They don't absorb soap and completely rinse meaning no smell and no soggy mess which is my biggest issue with sponges. I feel like everything just ferments in sponges and that grosses me out! These cloths stay clean a lot longer, they still create a lather (not as much as a sponge but plenty enough) they're tough and remove gunk off dishes, pots, pans, etc. without scratching.
