Will this work without spotting?** A: The use of clay bar on a vehicle and the use of wax are generally two different functions. But if you follow the directions (and we have a nice how-to video at http://www.mothers.com) you will not get water spotting. **Q: Will this wash/wax discolor a black convertible top? Maybe turning it white because of the wax?** A: More than likely it was starting to fade so they either used a black wax if metal or a dye if a ragtop and this wash is removing that coating **Q: Is it partef to add water or full strenght** A: Add water it's super concentrated **Q: Does it work for matte finished paint?** A: It can depend on the process used to create the matte finish, but generally yes, especially if it is a factory finish (aftermarket/custom finishes and wraps can vary in process and reaction). Use it as instructed. Do not let dry before rinsing or a wax residue may form and you will have to re-wash. If there is an issue, it should wash away or clear away with an instant detailer. Often a wash without wax like our California Gold Car Wash may be recommended for flat finishes, but matte should be okay with this product. With any product and a non-glossy or specialty finish, use it on a test spot first.
