Stood up to Airline Checked Bags *by M***Y on June 3, 2023* I bought this set about 5 months ago but didn’t want to review until it went through checking bags on a few flights. I’m delighted to report they stood up fantastically. I only checked the large one and the small one was suitable as a carry on for both Southwest and JetBlue, which was super helpful. The small one is also surprisingly roomy and I fit a LOT in it, using one of the small pockets for my liquid bag. The hard shell stood up nicely and the integrated TSA lock worked perfectly. I’m very pleased with this purchase and would buy again, but they stood up so well I don’t need to! Small note the little part on the carry one where you can charge your phone is a little gimmicky since you’d need your own portable charging battery and I’d rather use a MagSafe functioning one to charge my phone, or one with a short cord so I could keep my phone in my pocket. It’s a pretty useless feature, as it would be in any brand. I liked how high the carry on handle pulls so I never had to bend over when walking through the airport. The large one doesn’t go out super far, but since the case is large it is effectively the same height. The sizing is great. I was able to put the small on top of the large and secure with a simple luggage strap (that I would have with me anyway to identify my bags at claim) to move around with both together and another few bags for my family as well between the curb and the bag check. I didn’t check the small one but I feel confident it would hold up as well as the larger one. The value is incredible.
