It's located below the dashboard and interrupts the battery's ground wire (NOT the hot wire) when the key is pulled. It was necesaary because something in the electrical system drains the battery overnight, and neither I nor a professional have been able to locate the leak so far. So I installed this as a quick stop-gap measure. This switch effectively disconnects the battery. It proved itself during a 10-day trip to Arizona and back. Not once did it fail to connect or disconnect, and there was no battery trouble whatsoever. I also like the fact that this switch is rated high-amp enough to deal with the large battery and electrical system of the Durango. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used as intended this switch works properly. I will say this, there is no way the key will fall out in the closed position. If the key is left in the switch when off it will likely fall out.
