The material is thick, heavy metal and the glass is clear. I like the super wide angle it gives you while shooting photos or videos. It is a threaded lens so it works with a cage or backplate that has 17mm threaded port. At the time of this review it was priced at $55 which I feel is a good price for a high quality lens. It also comes with a nice carrying/storage case to keep it clean.
