Hence the reason they give you a new shift cable because the OEM needle valve doesn't fit into the new carburetor. The shift cable is also too long and will not work even with the supplied carburetor. I actually damaged my thottle lever installing the new cable. As for the carburetor, the OEM carb has all hose fittings on the left side, this after market carb has them all on the right side. So your fuel and vacuum line may come up short. Instead of returning this carb, I basically used it as a rebuild kit.
