Increase the natural light in your home with the FAKRO FV series manual venting skylight with tempered glass (model 68814). FAKRO FV manual venting skylights allow you to appreciate the light and fresh air in places where it there is no access to a power source. A special control rod enables opening and closing the skylights installed high in the ceiling (out of reach). An insect screen protects from mosquitos and other insects, so the skylight can be left ajar also during dry summer nights. Made from pressure treated pine wood, it's coated with a water-based clear acrylic lacquer that requires no additional painting. Easy to install by one person, it comes with its own template to help you cut an exact roof opening and provide the right dimensions for the skylight's gasket to be settled on the roof deck. Suitable for roof pitches from 15 to 85 degrees, the FV manual venting skylight is set deeper in the roof for better insulation, and it comes with a perimeter seal for a "warmer" roof boarding-skylight frame joint. This skylight has an outside frame measuring 32-1/2 x 55 inches, and it requires a rough opening of 30-11/32 x 54-3/16 inches. The low emission, heat reflecting double-glazed tempered glass window lets in the light, but not the heat, and it has 8.55 square feet of daylight area. All FAKRO skylights are Energy Star qualified. It's backed by a 20-year warranty on the insulated glass unit and 10 years on the skylight.
