I brought it for an elderly male relative who had a couple of dry patches on his scalp. The instructions say pour a few drops into your hand, massage in, then comb through. I thought this would be way too much as I only wanted to treat a couple of patches, so I just dampened my finger with the tonic and rubbed it on the dry areas.
