I have used various MP3 players for over twenty years, which varied in price and quality. The Dansrue player combines both reasonable price and quality in a well-built player and rivals some of the best players I had. Good recording quality, playback, functionality and long battery life makes this player a standout for those that do not want to spend a lot of money on a player. Further, customer service is excellent with fast response time for operational questions. I recommend this product.

Pros: Decent sound quality. Cool slick design.Cons: Unfriendly user interface. Once bluetooth connected, you cannot do anything else other than listen to songs in uncontrolled order. You cannot select a different music folder, change the audio settings, or any other function without disconnecting the BT pairing. Very annoying.Don't expect much from the included earphones.

I ordered this to replace my failing creative Zen player. I love the long battery life and I like how the player feels in my hand. The player is nicely constructed. There are a few item that I view a significant drawbacks. One the Bluetooth option does not work. Never has, even after updating the most recent firmware. This was one of the reasons why I wanted this. Later I found out that even if it works, it does not work well. Second fault is related to playlists. There are three playlist templates that are built into the player, but they do not show up when connected to the computer and the only way I can seem to add music to them is through the player itself. There is no method to put songs in the playlist so that they play as an album if you are putting songs form multiple albums on. I get all the 01 songs, then all the 02 songs and so forth. The only way I can figure to do this is to rename each song. A huge pain. with the Creative Zen I could create my own playlists and add them so I could easily browse and play songs in the order I want. I can add similar playlists to the player and they show up when I go to the playlist option, but when I try to select one of those I get a message that there are no songs in the playlist, even though there are. These two items make me wish I had made a different choice.

Bought this as a gift for my wife and it never worked. Unfortunately we were out of country for a month and by the time we received the product and discovered defective it was outside the 30 day window. Seemed like a durable item but apparently not. Very frustrating! Unable to reach seller to discuss refund??

Player shuts down at random. Right in the middle of a great workout, music stops. No way to get back to that song quickly. Device has to reboot. Sound quality is weak. One of the buttons on the side of the player is a voice memo recording feature. Again, middle of a workout and you hit the voice memo record on accident. You get what you pay for on this MP3 player. Fiio players are more expensive but I've had great luck with them. This product looks good on paper but you will be dissapointed with the purchase. Don't waste your money.

If Dansrue doesn't go out of business in 2018, it won't be for lack of trying. The product is mediocre at best, but it is hard to tell for sure since the instructions are so poor and the customer support does nothing to support customers. The best I can say for this MP3 player is that the features I can figure out work, sort of. But most of what it is supposed to do is a mystery due to the poor user manual, bad website, and non-intuitive user interface. I recommend that you stay away from this product.

This item was great first day then was unresponsive. It dont even work now at all I used it or tried to use it to teach my hip hop class unfortunately I wasted my money I am so upset after all that time it took for me to get my play list up. Other negative is if it's in bluetooth you cant access a created playlist JUST all music at once and no way to organize it. I'm so mad about this

This is an excellent mp3! I'm very happy with its quality. My only con is I purchased this for the Bluetooth capability and I was disappointed. It will successfully connect to Bluetooth, but only select brands. Once you connect to Bluetooth it shuffles all your tracks. You can't play them in order. So I bought regular headphones and choose not to use Bluetooth. No complaints since!
