Just as a test I stood on the scales on two different hard surfaces at home and I got the same reading from both. Then I stood on the scales on two different carpet areas ( the lounge and hall ) and the scales gave me two completely different readings. **Q: Does this display stones?** A: Yes, like the other person who responded today, there's a little switch it back so that you can have the weight reading in stones or kilo grams. As well as the dial reading it gives an accurate weight digitally, and does this reliably without changing if you step on it again five minutes later.
