Review: Will be buying this again - Fantastic monitor. I purchased this because I wanted a relatively cheap 24 inch monitor that was frameless (without a large border). I found the colours to be fine after some messing with the settings.. nothing major. I did find a nice feature in the settings that basically sharpens everything. There are 3 levels to this settings.. but I find the lowest to just make everything just pop on the screen abit nicer and be alot clearer.. even for gaming. I've played many games using this monitor.. fortnite.. rainbow6 siege.. unreal tournament.. and have experienced no issues at all. Very clear and no ghosting. I hope to buy another one and have a dual monitor setup in the future. :) I also bought an arm to clamp to the desk so it is at eye level. Very happy.
Review: Half bad at all - For the price, this monitor has ticked all the boxes, its perhaps a little heavy on the blue which can easily be adjusted out. I actually cant really fault it at all, apart from the truly terrible audio that comes out of the thing. I hadn't purchased this for audio but if anyone is, really, stop and look away. im actually considering buying a second one. Picture quality is fine for 1080p monitor, there is a little light bleed but is only noticeable on black screen. havent tried the freesync but as soon as nvidia enables the compatibility with their cards ill give it a shot.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great budget IPS monitor for a content creator and casual gamer
*by J***E on 24 June 2018*

TL;DR: When all is said and done, I am happy with this monitor. I have never had an IPS monitor before so maybe the excitement of richer colours is what makes this purchase for me. It is 24 inches, 1080p. Has speakers and can be overclocked to 75Hz (using Nvidia control panel). That's generous at this price range. There are some hoops to jump through (detailed below) to fix light bleed through blacks, and yellowish whites, but it only has to be done once. Then you're set. A small price to pay for a monitor of this quality at this price range. Full Review: I bought this as Like New from the Amazon Warehouse in order to save some money. It came the next day (through Prime) and really did come as Like New. The bags the cables came in were opened but the monitor still had the film on. Excellent service from Amazon. In order to be realistic about the quality of this monitor, I did some research on the types of monitors you can get (I'm not an expert so some of the information may not be entirely accurate): TN - Fast refresh rate and response time. Flat colours and bad viewing angles. Mostly used for Gaming. IPS - Broader colour range, with more realistic colours, and great viewing angles. Average response time and refresh rate. Mostly used for anything that requires visual fidelity (watching documentaries or working on Art). VA - Doesn't suffer from the problems of IPS (most notably light bleed) whilst still retaining good colours and viewing angles. However, suffers with slow response time. So what would be the best type of monitor to get overall? I believe it would be a VA panel with a fast response time and high refresh rate. That way you get great colours, viewing angles, and gaming refresh and response without any of the issues that IPS suffers with. I found a monitor that meets this specification. It costs £250: Samsung LC24FG73FQUXEN 24-Inch FHD 1920 x 1080 Curved Gaming Monitor - Dark Blue/Black Matt This AOC monitor has an IPS panel and costs £130. So, you have to be realistic with what you want and how much your budget is. This is a great budget IPS monitor. Don't expect the best visual experience at this price range. A truly professional grade IPS monitor starts around £200 ( BenQ BL2420PT 24 inch QHD Designer Monitor (1440p, 100% sRGB, Rec 709, Height Adjustment, CAD/CAM and Animation Mode, VGA/DVI-DL/DP1.2/HDMI) - Black ) but top tier content creators would probably still say £200 is too low for a truly professional grade IPS monitor. One minor issue was the panel actually popped out the bezel after I had tilted the screen (for viewing in bed). It was easy to pop back in. With bezels this small, I'm not surprised. Maybe this is me being generous towards the makers but we have to be realistic. You can't have super thin bezels and have the panel completely clamped into place, not at this price range anyway. The biggest downfalls of this monitor are the light bleeding through the blacks and the yellowish tint on the whites. However, I did find some fixes. Details are as follows: When I first plugged it into my computer, via HDMI, it looked terrible. This was due to my Graphics Card drivers believing it was still my old monitor. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. This worked perfectly. I then fiddled with the settings. It was hard to choose the right ones. I did settle on something and then decided to let my eyes get used to it. This is a different monitor and will, naturally, look different. My old monitor has a slight purple tint on the whites. This monitor has a slight yellow tint on the whites. Also, I don't like to have the monitor too bright. Of course, this is all personal preference but it may take some fiddling to get the setting right for you. So, I thought I was all done. However, when playing games, I would notice insane light bleed (mostly through the blacks). I did some Googling and came across this article: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/966561/finally-a-fix-for-the-games-changing-the-color-profiles-/ Turns out the game was changing the colour profiles. This fix worked for me. If you're using a PS4 then make sure to go to Display Settings and set the Colour Range to Full instead of Limited. This fixed the light bleed on console. I can't speak for Xbox as I don't own one. If you aren't convinced about buying an IPS monitor, and want to check out a different panel type, then here are my low budget suggestions for the alternatives: - If you want a good, low budget TN panel for gaming, I suggest: Acer GN246HLB 24-inch Full HD Monitor (TN panel, 144Hz, 1ms, HDMI, DVI) - I have a low budget VA panel from BenQ that is great. This one is similar: BenQ GC2870H 28 inch VA LED Eye-care Monitor, Flicker Free, Low Blue Light, HDMI - Otherwise, this AOC monitor is a great budget IPS panel. Don't expect to get top tier quality at this price range. I hope you found my review helpful. I know spending money on technology can be difficult. I spent a lot of time researching so it has been enjoyable to write out my thoughts on this monitor. Good Luck. I hope you find the monitor for you, even if it isn't this one.
