Review: Easy, Simple, Quality, Very cost effective. - I really hesitated in re-furbishing my $400 Home Depot Nexgrill with new burners, heat plates and igniters, since only 2 years ago I had to replace the grills for something like $35 and wondered if I was throwing more money away rather than just buying a whole new grill. Boy, am I glad I purchased this kit. It was a great value and arrived perfectly packaged. It took me about 45 minutes to remove the old corroded parts was was very simple (cut the igniter wires rather than trying to fish them through the openings) and effortless. The cotter pins were simple to remove as well... just snipped off the bent ends. Then it took only 45 minutes to install the new parts, which was very easy to do. Taking off and lowering the ignitor module made the connections easier than straining my neck to see up underneath the front panel. Amazing that the original battery still functioned after 8 years, but I replaced it anyway. No big deal that the wires that came with the new igniters were all the same length, thus leaving excess on most to them. I just coiled them up and stuck up behind the front panel, no problem. The only potential concern might be that I have a side burner, which does not use either the burners or heat plates and since I purchased a 4-burner kit, I was left with the old igniter for my side burner. Not a big deal at all since it still works perfectly and if it ever did go out, that particular burner would be easy to light with a match. All the new parts seem very high quality and a perfect fit, with all the screws and parts, and I am so happy that I bit the bullet and did the refurbishment myself for a fraction of the cost of a new grill. Should give me another 5-7+ years of use, if not more. Review: Great kit for the money - The kit comes with the heat deflectors, burners, igniters, and all relevant hardware. The problem I ran into, and not their fault, is the kit must not have been for my exact model. Everything fit except the igniters sat further off the burner tubes than the OEM’s. When I went to install the tubes with the igniters in place, the igniters wouldn’t fit through the opening in the inside front of the grill body. The wire can’t be in with the heat, so the igniter passes through a slot with the tube. No go. I had to drill a 1/2” hole about 3/8” off to the side of the factory opening. I passed the wire through my new hole and the igniter sat right. Makes no difference in the way it functions, it was just an extra step needed to make it work. The wires on the OEM igniters get progressively longer as needed to reach the module, but these are all the longest length needed. No big deal, bundle them up and tie wrap up behind the dashboard. When you’re working with aftermarket, generic kits, you have to problem solve sometimes.
