    Webber Never Disappoints

*by T***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2018*

I can’t believe I didn’t read this when it first released, but I am so glad I have rectified that situation. Tammara Webber is such an incredible writer and her books always strike such a chord and deliver.Brave is a bit different from the previous books in this series. To me it felt much more like Erin’s story rather than Erin and Isaac’s story. Erin really comes into her own over the course of this novel and the story was very much about her growth and how she comes to terms with herself and her life and learns what she wants. I absolutely loved Erin. She was fierce and determined and hardworking. She’s taken a bit of a sidestep in the path she thought she would follow, but she doesn’t let that stop her and she still puts her all into everything she does. I truly admired that about her. I also loved that she knew herself and she knew what she wanted and wouldn’t settle. She may be a bit off track in some ways, but she doesn’t let it stop her and she keeps going until she gets back on track. And even though I thought this was Erin’s show, that didn’t mean I didn’t love Isaac. Isaac is a quiet character, but when he speaks you listen. He is incredibly smart and hardworking and you have to admire that. He is put in a very difficult situation of being the boss of the owner’s daughter and he handles it well. He’s just a good guy and I really loved him.The romance between Isaac and Eric is such a slow burn and I loved it. They grew together slowly and over time and I loved watching them slowly open up to one another. When they first meet one another they do not get off to the best start, but it’s clear they have more in common than they first thought. Slow burns when executed right can be the best and this was executed perfectly. I also loved the social commentary that was woven into the story. She handles topics that are very relevant today and shows that you should stand up for what you believe in and not let the things that matter slide.Brave was another fantastic read from Tammara Webber. All of the books in this series are some of my very favorite reads. These are the kind of New Adult reads we need and is what I think the genre was always intended to be: finding yourself and growing from a teenager into an adult and finding that adult you want to be along the way and you know if there’s some romance to be found there too, that doesn’t hurt. This is the kind of book that made me fall in love with the New Adult genre to begin with and it was so great to find another book like that once again. All in all, Brave was a wonderful read and I loved every single second of it.

    A great slow burn NA.

I had been waiting on this book so long, I forgot why. I even forgot who Erin was. I had to ask a friend! That makes me sad because Brave and Tammara Weber's entire Contour of the Hearts series is so good! I love her writing and the world she has created.Brave was a slow burn romance. The characters, Erin and Isaac, started off as co-workers. Isaac was Erin's boss, and he wasn't her biggest fan. This spurred Erin into action. Their feelings built slowly throughout the story. I loved all of their moments together. Those lead to some very big ah-ha moments for Erin. The story was in her point of view, so those moments were extremely important. While I loved Erin and Isaac together, the romance didn't feel like the biggest part of the story. Erin coming into her own and learning about herself and her family took up a lot of the story. I really liked that story line. Isaac was woven into it, and how everything played out was very cool. The social and political aspects of Brave were important and relevant to life today. The only thing I wanted more of from Brave was time with Erin and Isaac together. I didn't get enough of them as a couple figuring out their lives together. I wanted more than just their attraction and the blooming of their love. I wanted to be deep within their bond.It may have taken years to finally get Erin's story, but it was well worth the wait. Tammara Weber gave her a story that showed Erin's strengths and her heart. I loved reading it.

I love Easy (Contours of the Heart

*by E***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2018*

I love Easy (Contours of the Heart, #1), and have read it multiple times. Brave follows along years after, and I liked the glimpse into some familiar old characters. In the beginning, I wasn't sure what I thought. Erin going home to work for her dad, and the set up of not getting along with her boss. But the tension there was fun ... I loved seeing them try to resist each other, and the times they spent out of the office, seeing another side. All the family dynamics were interesting, too. This book is heavy hitting tackling racism and sexism. These are big important topics, very timely, and can be so hard to do well in fiction. Often it feels forced. I didn't find it so with Brave. Erin sits back, staying quiet, and realizes that makes her part of the problem. I think so many of us have been there! Her struggle is relatable. In the end, I liked it, and wished it had been longer! It flew by. Ultimately this is a sweet, sometimes sad, encouraging book. With characters you want to root for. (Also, Isaac, being kind, smart, strong, and patient, is the ultimate book boyfriend, thank you very much).
