Many of the events I was curious about were explained to me and I felt satisfied. There are much self reflections and philosophy involved, and honestly at times it’s too much. Sometimes it drags on, but I’ve come to accept Andrea’s style of writing as some other reader noted. Once you get past that fact, it’s a very good book. I would recommend this book. Very interesting. Answered many questions I had about the Conjuring that I watched with my mom when I was 10 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Based on real events! *by C***N on April 18, 2024* Andrea Perron tells her story of how she grew up in the conjuring house, encountering spirits, and witnessing the paranormal. She tells in her own words the amazing things she witnessed and even experienced in that amazing house. Everyone knows the Conjuring House but this story is a bit different as it is all fact and no fiction. This series of books kept me on my toes and it also speaks of belief and hope in something do beautiful...love! I can't believe she was so open and honest in her telling of her own personal experience anls well as that of her sisters, mother, and father. What a great read and a beautiful story. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It gets better folks. It truly does. *by P***8 on May 8, 2013* You cannot read Volume Two without reading Volume One, as many gripes as you may have about it. Andrea Perron is NOT a bad writer. She's brilliant. She just needs an editor, that's all. So, most importantly, what she has set us up with, in Volume One (in spite of its repetition) becomes gloriously alive in Volume Two. Here, the Warren's are finally introduced - and while they had tried so much to help the Perron family, what eventually transpired will frighten you to your soul. It will scare you so badly enough as to induce nightmares. Please, don't misunderstand me. Ed and Lorraine are very good people. Lorraine remains one of the most beautiful human beings I've ever encountered. But, WOW! I blame most of this on the anti-hero, Roger Perron, whom I'd like to smack upside up the head, as hard as I can for his truly ignorant belief system. However - this is all dealt with, very clearly, and cleanly in the second volume. This story NEEDS to be told and Andrea, indeed, "tells it like it is" (was). I love this family and I care for each and every one of them. If a book can get me to this level of empathy, that is really saying something! A must read for anyone who cares about the Perron's. What this family went through is historical, positively historical. Andrea Perron has written a fine follow up volume. Now.
