They can be worn over socks or stockings or even bare feet. Because of the velcro wrap its size changes to whatever you need. Be careful, though, not to snag the stockings with the velcro. It’s the same brand and says basically the same info** A: I believe it is as I have both as well. **Q: Will they work for a child's feet?** A: Depends on how small. They are adjustable , Mine are for a woman and would fit any foot from 6 to 7 inches long (not size) probably ok for a child 10 or older. They are around 3 to 3.5 inched wide. I wear mine with the highest insert. Search no more these are the answer! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A simple but effective arch support. *by M***2 on 19 January 2016* These are a good and well thought out product which I tried as I have had aching foot pain from my arches in the past. The simple but effective idea is, you get the stretchy black band which Velcro fastens around your foot. Inside the band you can slide one, or if you require it, two of the supplied hard plastic inserts inside and it's these which will provide the support. When on, it feels a little odd at first but you soon get used to it. Unfortunately, I bought these as a pre-emptive measure so I can't really claim as to their effectiveness as pain relief.
