The net portion is able to be screwed apart from the handle allowing for easy storage or for the entire net to be quickly placed in a backpack or other luggage! The telescopic feature is very useful for both adults and kids. I used it when catching fish and after my kids got bored fishing with a pole, they went after them their own way. The bright colors make it easy to keep up with. The wrist lanyard ensures it's not accidentally dropped in the water. As you can see in the photos, the net is perfect sized for children to handle and is very lightweight. This has now become one of the items we bring to every fishing trip. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is it takes a moment to get use to where the pole needs to be gripped to loosen up the net to extend and then tighten.
