The best sand is washed sand. ‘Washed’ essentially washes out any dirt or clay compounds. Dirt and clay can pulverise into a dust that is so fine it can ‘puff’ out of the tiny stitch holes which can be quite off-putting when doing your workouts. Another important point is to take your time filling up the bag so you don’t rush and spill sand in the gap between the outside of the funnel and inside the cavity under the zipper. That will give the impression that the bag is leaking sand but actually it’s just the residual sand coming from that area. The bags are super robust and can handle drops and throws (not recommenced for slamming though) and you can drag them but not on rough surfaces..the warranty doesn’t cover for drags; however we do drags on soft grass no problems. Just not for sled work or anything like that. Enjoy 😉 **Q: Anyone drop this regularly on dirt? How does it hold up?** A: Should be ok on dirt, turf, wood, anything not gravely, rocky, or cement. **Q: Does this bag come with sandbags or sand?** A: No, our bags don’t come with inner bags to out the sand in. Instead the sand is poured directly into the bag via a funnel that is then double velcro sealed and then closed with a zip. Different pairs (or the single handle that isn’t in a pair) have slightly different lengths and that would be normal. Also our handles shouldn’t have any stretch in them at all. So, If a handle of the same pair is longer than the other and the stitching is all intact, then yes it is not normal for one handle to be longer than the other. I started working out during downtime at my job since the pandemic started because of me working double shifts and gyms being closed down. Unfortunately the dumbbells that I left out for all to use were stolen so now all my workout gear has to fit in my locker. No room for a big bag but I still wanted relevant weight for my purposes. I filled this small bag with 50 pounds of 4mm loose carbon steel ball bearings, more than double it's sand weight rating, and it has held up like a champ for six days a week for the three weeks I've had it. Only minor, and I mean minor, complaint is the zipper garage not being deep enough to totally enclose all the metal of the zipper pull. How the handles are positioned I have the zipper across the back of my neck while doing lunges and such. My solution was to use duct tape over the entire zipper, not because of any structural issues, strictly for comfort. I can't recommend this bag enough and may look into a larger one to fill with sand for use at home once they are available again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Be careful before you throw your back out *by K***W on December 14, 2022* Bag is great, very sturdy, easy to fill and does not leak. But if you are not used to functional strength workouts or new to working out in general please be careful. I typically do bodybuilding/traditional gym style exercises and have been switching to more functional/HIIT type workouts. This bag came in and I was super excited, did two workouts within 12 hours and the next morning I had a little soreness. By mid-morning I could barely get up.
