It is flattering while still being loose enough to be comfortable, yet form-fitting enough fit under a pullover and still be able to fit into a jacket. It actually has decent stretch for being a fleeced base layer! It does not restrict through the biceps or shoulders, or start digging in under the arms even after wearing it all day. I ride horses and need a super-functional base layer when it gets below freezing, and this has hit all the marks phenomenally. Super comfortable, wicks well when you're moving, insulates well when you're not moving as much. My only minorest of minor complaints is the 'hem' on the thumbholes... while the free edge is sewn, the inside hem is not tacked down. So when you do put your thumbs through it pulls this edge through - I feel this is going to be a weak point if I have it pulled down and still doing work around the barn or with my horse, and would end up ripping through the edges of the thumbhole. I do plan to just tack down the hem with my sewing machine, it is a minor complaint, but still a minor annoyance to help with longevity.
