The Kensington tongue *might* fit very tightly into the approx. 1/4"x1/8" slot, but the key does not turn and the T-bar does not engage due to internal obstruction. Lenovo sells their own similar cable lock 4XE1F30276 (and other styles). Not a lot more you can say. Sure, you may be able to find cheaper 'work alike' cable somewhere, but this is a really good brand. They are so dominant that manufactures who carve that little slot in the side of their devices, called it a Kensington slot. (okay, that might be a licensing thing...)This cable is really long. I use mine on a standup desk, that has a single pillar on the left side and one on the right. I wrap the lock around one pillar and then through the loop several times to reduce its size.
