Winco MXB-500Q Mixing Bowl, 5-Quart

This thing is awesomely massive as far as bowls go. It's round like a bowl should be and does all the bowl things that bowls do. It's astoundingly quiet when it sits on top of the fridge, which is where you're going to store it because it won't fit in a standard cabinet. It also doesn't fit in a standard kitchen sink so make sure you're comfortable with washing it outside or in the bathtub. But when you need 40 pounds of pasta salad or a place to mix 300 biscuits in one batch... This bowl is for you! I have 2! Love them!

It's exactly what you need if you are a fermentation connoisseur making lots of batches of fermented goodness. Even though i only make them for myself, i chose the biggest version because you never know when you absolutely need that extra space, plus you can slosh everything around more carelessly without worrying about spillage. I use it for all kind of experimental kimchi that i make, as well as all manner of other things, you can also use it to make for example sauerkraut.

I had to return it because it was too big for what I needed. But, it was a very nice bowl.

I do a lot of food preserving thru the summer and wanted big stainless bowls for this process. These bowls are perfect. They are short sided but very wide and that’s perfect for my needs. I will try making bread in one to see how it does and put an update on here after that

This bowl is the perfect size to replace the water pan in a Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5 inch smoker. I bought the smoker used and it was missing the water pan. This bowl is also about $30 cheaper!

Holds a lot! But really thin and flexible.

I use it to mix food for meal prep. I prepare about 18x 20oz containers with it every two weeks.

Just got this as a 2nd bowl for all my Easter baking. (I've had a large one like this for many years, but felt I needed another at certain times when the busy baking seasons came around.) This bowl is big and I can fit multiple batches of bread dough to rise, also great for all the meats, cheeses etc for pizza rustica. Lots of room for thorough mixing. It's a tad thinner than the bowl I already have (30 years old) but that does not mean it doesn't perform just as well. Shallow enough to fit nicely in my cabinet too. Easy clean/fits in dishwasher too.
