There should be a minimum thickness too, that should be tested on a small sample somewhere. It takes 3 weeks before varnishing or painting because the concrete mix must expel all the water, otherwise the coating will peal. **Q: How thick can this go to** A: States on the packet **Q: Can this be used outside?** A: I'm pretty sure it's for interior use only. I really wouldn't risk of outside. **Q: What is the maximum thickness for this compound** A: I believe only 3mm max is recommended. I think I went to 5mm without any issues.
