It holds pressure well and cooks on the lowest gas setting with no issues at all. I saw a few negative reviews and frankly I’m puzzled. Food doesn’t stick. It’s excellent for pre-frying onions or chicken - works better than a high end stainless steel skillet. The lid fits perfectly well too. Just use common sense - use enough oil and liquid. Keep the temperature on low once it gets to full pressure and you won’t go wrong. Practice putting the lid on and off a couple of times and it will be second nature in no time. The simple tech - basic weight to hold pressure is a bonus. We had a complex adjustable Tefal pressure cooker some years ago and it was nothing but trouble.
