It is well constructed with a nice, tight fitting stem that is not too tight to threaten cracking on removal. It is good quality wood and I am excited to try out how well it smokes when my higher quality tobacco comes in. After a cursory smoke, though, the draw seems to be pretty fairy and, for the money, it's a nice quality pipe. Good for addition. *by A***A on July 19, 2019* This is a different breed considering there are so many pipe options to choose from, it packs good, the tobacco amount that goes in the pipe is good. But it is too heavy, because of the fact that it is long. Make sure you know what you are getting. I am an avid pipe smoker, been smoking for a year now. And well, this seemed like a good pipe for rotation. If you are new to pipe smoking, and that you dont rotate, first buy ones that are good enough for you to smoke 3, 4 times a day. Then, take this as a rotation. Rule of thumb, smoke this once a day, but no more because its very hard to maintain. Usually, pipe lasts for 20-25 minutes, but this needs a lot of relighting if you are new to pipe smoking, get that sorted out.
