Working graveyards in healthcare I wanted to get extra steps in as the steps I was doing day shift was probably at least 5x more and my body was feeling the difference. You can feel it in your core somewhat too as you balance your body on the stepper. You smoothly glide up and down with each step. It has a resistance knob making it suitable for people with all different strength capabilities. It comes with the arm bands if you want to attach those as well. I found them a little distracting, but someone else may love them. It has a digital counter in the middle that goes up to 9999 and then resets to 0. The bottom of the stepper has rubber "supports" that balance the stepper flat and doesn't damage your floor. The stepper is a very simple concept, but it is one of my favorite fitness pieces I have ever bought!
