Cyclaire's Tap Lock device is easily fitted to outdoor taps in seconds. The use of 3mm aluminium makes for a very strong construction, stronger than many plastics. Simply fasten the brass lock nut onto the tap and tighten. Then slide the aluminium housing in place and fix the padlock. Job jobbed, the tap is secure.

Does what it says on the tin?
Delivered as promised, fits perfectly on the tap and is of a good quality for the price. Don’t get me wrong, the lock is easy to break off with the right tool but for me it is merely to stop the builders next door using my outside tap. Caught them once when they started building, they’ve got a two story extension to build and I wasn’t having it done at my expense?It has been said the lock seizes up but to be honest, most locks would do that if left outside for weeks on end with being oiled. You just have to regularly take it off and spray with WD40 or other machine oil.

Inexpensive and effective
After a long search for something that wasn't plastic or very expensive, I settled on this, without much hope of satisfaction. Wrong. Such a simple idea, which works well.

Rubbish
Absolute rubbish !! This product looks good with what appears to be a padlock of superior quality but don't be fooled.After a year in the rain outside the padlock is solid rust and cannot be opened. The steel effect is in fact aluminium which can be cut with garden loppers and the cap on the tap is not a standard that will fit any spanner. Don't buy this product if you ever want to use the tap again. Cut it off and throw away as it is very poor quality Chinese rubbish.

Recommended, Great item that does exactly what I want.
Great products, arrived really quick, simple to use. it has a quality weight and feel to it, and is so easy to use. It's ideal if you're an occasional user of the tap as it requires unlocking and locking again with each use.. but it only takes a few seconds to do.
