Almost the whole time we were gone they were anxiously pacing the cage. This is a classic case of separation anxiety. So instead of looking into pharmaceuticals which I know you can get for anxiety in dogs, we decided to seek a natural remedy first. Quiet Moments have worked very well. The dogs will still make a mess once in a while, but there is usually 2 or 3 days in between. This product really does have a calming effect on dogs, and I recommend them to anyone who has an anxious canine friend. PS. Our dogs wouldn't just chew up the tablets (since they are only about 8 lbs. a piece they get half a tablet every day) so we had to try something else. I have a small blender called the Magic Bullet that I use to grind up the tablet into a powder, then I mixed the powder with some of that stuff that comes in an easy cheese can you can use as a treat with those Kong chew toys. After doing this for a while I just started mixing the powdered tablet with a half a teaspoon of water to make it into a paste. They both eat it that way just fine. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because my dog absolutely will not eat them unless they’re covered in peanut butter. She’s normally really good about taking her medicine but she really doesn’t like the taste of these at all.
