I have acne prone skin and I am currently using a prescription medicated cream but I also wanted to do my part in cleansing well. I wanted to avoid electronic cleansing brushes/devices which look like they are too harsh for facial skin so I bought these sponges.They arrived looking like three charcoal biscuits. I soaked one in water before use and it really softens up and expands. I have used this both with and without cleanser. Without cleanser, it provides a nice light cleanse. With cleanser, it provides a deep cleanse. I'd recommend putting the product directly on the sponge and letting it absorb into it. I find this works better with both liquid and solid cleansers. When you need more product, just squeeze the sponge while it's on your face and more cleanser will be released. It's very gentle and has a slip to it which I didn't expect but it makes cleansing easier as it glides around your face. Also, it really removes makeup. I usually use a makeup wipe then cleanse. After cleansing, there's always a bit of makeup residue left on my face but not with these sponges.It comes with a thin string attached to it which is meant to be used to hook up onto something to store it. For now, I have hung this on the pump of my hand soap dispenser for want of a better place. It doesn't drip which is good. It's impossible to get it totally dry just by squeezing the excess water out so the fact that it doesn't drip is great.My skin is smoother and much less oily after using the sponge. I love these but I wouldn't recommend this particular version for dry skin. However, I'm looking into the other variations of this sponge, from the same company, to purchase for members of my family with different skin types. I would definitely recommend this to anyone struggling with acne-prone skin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing! *by H***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 30 March 2016* I decided to buy these sponges as I have sensitive skin, I can only use one particular cleanser at night and just water in the morning, and if I use anything else I break out in spots. I'm in my 40's and can't use moisturiser! I thought this would be good at clearing those stubborn blackheads and keeping my skin clean while not irritating it. Well I have only used it for a few days so far but the first thing I've noticed is how soft my skin is, I can honestly say it's never felt as good! The downside is a few spots have appeared but I'm hoping it's because my skin is clearing and it will ease off. My skin definitelyfeels better so I will carry on using the sponge for another week or so and see what happens. I'll update on the results!Update: the spots I got when I first starting using these sponges have all cleared up! In fact, each one disappeared within a day of appearing, something I've never experienced before, spots would usually take a while to clear up for me. So in summary these sponges are brilliant! He liked the fact that these are black and he didn't necessarily need to use a product with them. They are quite small about 6cm when dry and arrive beautifully packed in a small box. It takes a few seconds under the tap for the konjac sponge to become soft but then it can be used quickly and easily to cleanse the skin - just the light action cleans and exfoliates in seconds. They seem to last well too as he's been using the same one for a couple of months. His skin has improved a lot but he's also using blue light which seems to help.
