I thought I was going to purchase a Spanx product, but this Maidenform product was less than half the cost of Spanx! I got two for the price of less than one! I am 5’2” and 137 pounds. I have pretty bad cellulite on my thighs and am bulgy around the middle. I was not sure whether I should ‘size up’ as they say, or go with the chart recommendations. I went with the chart and ordered a medium. The ONLY thing I am not please with this shaper is that the legs are too short and do not have the sticky edges to keep them in place like the waist does. Boycut does NOT work for me because of my large, flabby thighs. The leg edge rolls up and becomes a little uncomfortable. Not enough to not use the shaper, but enough that I do not like it and am conscious of it. I have to pull the leg edges down as often as I am politely able! The shaper DOES make my dresses that I was unable to comfortably wear much more comfortable now, so for me it is a WIN! I wish I would know if sizing up would take care of my problem, but based on how well the rest of the shaper fits, I do not think that is likely.
